Hey Y’all!
My name is Laura Dang! I am so excited to finally start a teaching blog! I have been inspired by many blogs for the past couple of years and I am finally ready to start my own!
I was born and raised in Texas and I currently teach Pre-K in this great state! I graduated from the University of Houston – Go Coogs!
I am the middle child and only girl in my family. I am also the first teacher in my family. Being Vietnamese, becoming a teacher was sometimes looked down upon. Fortunately, I have an amazingly supportive family and my parents supported my life goals no matter what they were!
I am a dog mom to my sweet girl Zoe. She is a 10 year old Husky/German Shepherd mix. She was diagnosed with Addison’s disease a couple of years ago, and it’s been rough. We continue to learn everyday about the best ways to live with this lifelong disease.
I am a primary model teacher for my district. As a model teacher, I sometimes invite other teachers and administrators throughout the district to take a look at the everyday workings of my classroom. I am also asked to voice my opinion about our curriculum.
I am so excited to share this journey with y’all! I am still learning everyday and I love having this opportunity to learn from others as well as share what I have learned. Thank you for stopping by!
